Horde Fishing Guide

Posted by admin | Fishing Guides | Wednesday 26 May 2010 2:19 am

Like cooking, fishing is a free secondary skill in World of Warcraft. This Horde fishing guide will help you advance your fishing skill as quickly as possible. Fishing and cooking skills go well together and you can level up much more quickly with both skills at the same time. You must know that your fishing skill increases based on how many fish you catch. It doesn’t matter where or when you fish; what matters is the quantity of your catch.

There are 5 fishing levels: Apprentice, Journeyman, Expert, Artisan and Master.

The first step is to find a fishing trainer in Bloodhoof Village, Ogrimmar, Booty Bay, etc. You will need a Fishing Pole which you can buy from a fishing supplier. You will also need bait, so buy some Shiny Bauble. Find a pond and start fishing. You will have to catch about 65 Brilliant Smallfish and some Longjaw Mud Snappers. When you have 60 Longjaw Mud Snappers, start cooking the fishes.

Once you reach fishing skill 50, go to the Pond at Orgrimmar and catch some Longjaw Mud Snappers. They are easier to catch in Orgrimmar. Go back to the fishing trainer and to become a Journeyman.

When you become a Journeyman, get some Nightcrawlers from the fishing supplier. Head for the Caverns of Mist in the Wailing Caverns. Use the bait or lure and keep fishing until you reach skill level 125. You can actually fish in other places but you can get plenty of Deviate Fish in the Wailing Caverns. These fishes sell for 1 to 2 gold in the Auction House.

Once you are at level 125, go to Booty Bay and look for Old Man Hemming. You will find him in “The Happy Bobber” shop. Buy the book “Bass and You” for around 1 gold and you are now ready to be an Expert.

Buy some Aquadynamic Fish Attractor. Make sure your cooking skill level is at least 175. Go to Shadowprey Village at Desolace. Buy the Mithril Trout recipe from Wulan and start fishing at the pier. You can also try to find the Big Iron Fishing Pole hidden in one of the shellfish traps.

Continue fishing at the pier until you reach skill level 205 in fishing. You can also head for other places like Felwood, Azshara or Moonglade and fish until you reach level 225, when you will be ready to be an Artisan.

Posted by admin | Fishing Guides | Friday 5 February 2010 11:33 pm

Surf fishing is a sport that is done in the shoreline and can be enjoyed by many especially if you are having a vacation by the beach and you just want to catch fish right then and there near the shoreline. here are some surf fishing guide that can help you in starting with this sport.

What You Will Need

What you will need in starting with surf fishing is a fishing rod with a fishing reel. You will also need your bait or lure, a bucket for your catch, hooks, swivels or lines. There are also a lot of bait and lures that you can choose from but you can ask the locals especially if you are in a place you are not quote familiar with. You can also use lures such as spoons, soft plastic or jigs to attract the fishes to your bait.

These are the basic equipment but you can always add more for your protection as well. Some surf fishers may use waders which can also add protection from other creatures in the sea such as sting rays. This will also protect you as well as from the cold waters. You can also bring with you flashlights or headlamps as surf fishing is often done at nighttime to timely catch the fishes at their feeding time.

What is good about surf fishing is that, you won’t need to own or rent a boat to enjoy fishing. And of course, you can still relax and enjoy this sport with great friends or family. You might find this sport a little easy if you have been reading some surf fishing guides but this sport requires proper timing to be able to enjoy it. Of course, you have to be in the right place, the right time and with the right equipment to enjoy such sport.

One more important thing though. Before getting too excited to wade into the water for your surf fishing adventure, make sure you have secured the necessary license to do so.

Finding The Best Spot

Indeed, this sport is best enjoyed if you are at the right spot. If you are in a beach, you can find the best spot by looking for eddies. These are places where birds often feed on fish and where you will most likely find large schools of fish. Although it is best to be at the right spot when you surf fish, it is however important to remember to put safety first. Always secure a good surf fishing guide to help you with the safety of the sport.

Powerful waves and strong current may cause injury or accidents, thus you have to always be careful when engaging into this sport. You also have to watch out for shark bites as well as stingrays. Wear protection always with your feet and even put on sunscreens to protect your skin as well. Be watchful of the waves and never turn your back on them. Of course, in any sport, safety is always a priority.

Most of the time, beach buggies are used by surf fishers in spotting the best areas to surf fish. If you re planning to have one in your surf fishing adventure, make sure you secure a permit for the said vehicle as this can sometimes be restricted or totally not allowed. A good surf fishing guide will help you learn everything you need to know about this exciting sport.
